Come, look, observe. You can visit the most enchanting and interesting places of the Val Pusteria on foot, by bicycle or by bus (at no cost with the free Mobilcard!).

  • Discovering animals: you can see many amazing animals at the Dobbiaco or Assling park.
     
  • "Here is where the mules pass ...": you can follow the Tesido mule tracks and the Lottersteig trail
     
  • The wonder of the waterfalls: you can admire this miracle of nature in Valle Aurina where, as of this year, there is a Flyline above the stream.
     
  • Places to visit: you can visit the most beautiful towns in the area, like Brunico or Bressanone.
     
  • Play the part of Robin Hood: at the Kron Arc Adventure Park you can try your hand at archery in the middle of the forest. Great fun for children and adults alike.
     
  • You like fishing? Then, the Pub Binta in Casies is the perfect little spot for you! Here, you do not need a license to go fishing for trouts. Take the fish home or – even better – watch it getting cooked and served by the Binta culinary staff! Have a lovely dinner – Mhmmm!

  • For all mountain lovers we recommend the Messner Mountain Museum at Brunico Castle, all about the life of the climber/hiker (> 29 km).
  • The small museum "Voadohuibn" in Val Casies holds much of interest.
  • The Landesmuseum für Volkskunde in Dietenheim was recently recognised by ADAC as one of the most beautiful open-air museums in Europe (> 29 km).
  • The Museum „DoloMythos“ in San Candido invites you to discover the enchanted world of the Dolomites … (> 28,4 km)
  • If you are interested in herbs, visit the Kräutermuseum Bergila (> 40 km) in Issing or follow the herb trail at the Kräuterhof Hauser farm in Perca (> 25 km).

In the heart of the mountains at the Climatic Centre:

The train line takes you to the Prettau mine of the climatic centre with the same name. The centre has the motto "I breathe": it offers services especially for those who suffer from allergies.

The barns of the former copper mine in Prettau are home to the mining museum (> 69 km)

The world of cheese:

on a guided tour of the Dairy in Dobbiaco (> 23 km) you will discover all the secrets and curious facts about the world of cheese. At the Waldsamerhof (> 4 km) you can make cheese with your own hands.

Villages & Castles

  • In the village of Taufers (> 45 km) children and adults can experience the thrill of visiting an armoury, art lovers can admire the frescoes by Pacher, and the more romantically inclined can visit the fairytale village.
  • The Welsperg Castle in Monguelfo is also worth a visit (> 12 km).
